Weekly note 27.11.17

Year 4 Weekly Update for week beginning 27/11/17

We’ve had another brilliant week and enjoyed our final Epic Friday for this term.  A big thank you to all our helpers and we welcome any feedback you have.

This week is another busy week:

Monday 27th November is our Tudor day.  Children should come to school in their Tudor costumes for the day.  We look forward to seeing lots of you at 2pm in the school hall, any last minute helpers for the morning activities would be greatly appreciated.

Numeracy: Children will be taking part in some maths assessments in the first part of the week and continuing with our work on fractions. Please find a link to an interactive fraction wall to help the children practice.

Literacy: We will be focusing on setting descriptions based in the Tudor times.  Any reading of fictional stories based in the Tudor times would support this unit.

Science:  We will be starting an exciting new unit.  More details will follow next week.

DT: Our DT project will begin soon and we will be making soft toys. In the last couple of weeks of the term we will be busy sewing and if there are any parents/grandparents out there willing to give us a hand it would be much appreciated. Please let the class teacher know if you can help at all during the afternoons.

Details of the Christmas Party will be sent home soon. Please keep an eye out for the letter. Can we please also take this opportunity to remind you about the Christmas Fayre next week on Thursday 7th December 2-4pm.

Many thanks,

Year 4 team
