Weekly Update

Year 4 Weekly Update for week beginning 28/11/16

A BIG thank you for coming to Tudor Day and making it a very special day for the children. We all had a fabulous time and the children amazed us with their enthusiasm and knowledge! We are very proud of their hard work and we hope you were impressed with their creativity and enjoyment of this topic. We couldn’t have done it without our helpers. Another big thank you.

We would welcome your feedback on Tudor Day, please feel free to e-mail or comment on the blog.

Homework:  As the children have worked so hard this week towards their Tudor day, there will be no set homework this week.  Keep on practising targets, reading, spelling and going on Mathletics.

Numeracy: Finishing our unit on fractions and carrying out our termly assessment.

Literacy: We will be looking at historical stories.

Science: We will be starting an electricity topic.

Art: Observational drawing for the board.

DT: Our DT project will begin soon and we will be making soft toys. In the last couple of weeks of the term we will be busy sewing and if there are any parents/grandparents out there willing to give us a hand it would be much appreciated-even if it’s to help thread needles! Please let the class teacher know if you can help at all during the afternoons.

Details of the Christmas Party will be sent home soon. Please keep an eye out for the letter. Can we please also take this opportunity to remind you about the Christmas Fayre next week on Thursday 1st 2-4pm. Children may be picked up at 3pm as usual and can then visit the Fayre.

Thanks for your continued support-we have especially appreciated it this week!
