Year 4 Weekly Update for week beginning 15.5.17

We’ve had another busy week; the children enjoyed inventing their own ‘trashion’ and taking part in the ‘Trashion Show’. They worked well in teams and were very creative with their outfits! Well done to Mrs Dowding’s class for doing a fabulous class assembly today, they worked very hard and Mrs Dowding was very proud of them all.  Here’s what’s coming next week:-

Numeracy: We will be looking at ratio and proportion and using outdoor learning to help us understand the concepts. Please could children bring their coats to school just in case.

Literacy: Children will be planning and writing their own stories with issues,  dilemmas and problems based on our learnt text ‘The Canal’.

Geography: The children will be researching more about the 3 R’s.

PE:  Please can children bring their PE kits on MONDAY as we will be doing athletic timings and for their usual PE lessons.

Walk to School Week: Please see email and letter sent out this week. Please encourage your children to walk to school this week, they may join the walking bus service. Walking is good for both your health and the environment.

Have a fabulous weekend and enjoy the sunshine.

Many Thanks

Year 4 Team
